How We Work
We provide you with an automatic rental vehicle that is fully NZ road compliant, that meets criteria to conduct your practical test. Included in your hire: Full comprehensive insurance (even for Learner drivers under 20yrs of age). Petrol (no need to top up after your hire). Delivery and Collection to your VTNZ practical test location. Vehicle is equipped with interior recording camera for your protection.
On Your Practical test Day
1. On the Day of your practical driving test at VTNZ, your vehicle will be waiting for you, reversed parked, in the parking area of VTNZ. 2. Register at the VTNZ counter for your exam, supply them with your car registration and once registered head to your allocated rental vehicle. 3. Tap the NFC card located on the windscreen or call/text your account manager and vehicle will be unlocked for you remotely. Setup and align all your mirrors and seat position. 4. To start the vehicle, your foot must be on the brake and then you press the "Start/Stop Button" vehicle will start. 6. Conduct your exam (good luck). 7. Once your exam is complete, park anywhere within the VTNZ parking area, press the 'Start/Stop' Button to shut down car, exit the vehicle and either tap the NFC card or call/text your account manager to lock vehicle.
Insurance & Fuel
Comprehensive Car Insurance is included* and Fuel is covered for the duration of your test only. ^Incase of damage to alloys during your test, this is a claim outside of insurance. ^*See terms and conditions and details on Payment Invoice
